The Acolyte creator is directing a “twisted mother-daughter story” body horror movie starring Rosamund Pike

Leslye Headland, creator of The Acolyte, is directing Feed, a body horror film starring Rosamund Pike. The story explores parental ambition and protection through a mother whose search for a supplement to help her daughter brings about a monstrous transformation.

Pike will play Erin and also produce the film. Daniella Isaacs wrote the script, inspired by the 2022 Finnish film Hatching; Feed has no release date yet. Headland’s The Acolyte was cancelled after one season in 2024, despite being Disney Plus’s second most-viewed original series that year.
