The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online release goes head-to-head with GTA 6 on November 19

Engadget · 2 hours ago

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online, the multiplayer expansion for Edmund McMillen's roguelike The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, will launch on consoles on 19 November 2026 — the same day as Grand Theft Auto 6. This is a striking scheduling choice, as most publishers have been shifting release dates this year specifically to avoid clashing with GTA 6, which is expected to dominate players' attention this autumn.

Repentance+ Online adds four-player online co-op to the full Binding of Isaac roguelike experience, including all of its expansions released over the years. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, having previously existed as a PC beta since 2024, where it has drawn a mixed response over performance and bugs. The release caps a busy year for creator Edmund McMillen, who also launched a new, unrelated roguelike called Mewgenics in February 2026.
