Nintendo has confirmed that a remastered version of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 November, marking the game's 40th anniversary. The remake overhauls the original with updated visuals, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, orchestral music, reworked camera and movement controls, and a microphone feature letting players hum ocarina melodies for Link to perform in-game.

The announcement was part of a broader roundup of gaming news, including a first look at "Spyro: A Realm Beyond's" Arcadian Vale region, and Nintendo's unveiling of "Metroid Ravenous" and "Kirby and the World Beyond", both set for release next year (28 January and spring 2027 respectively). Also announced were new PAX convention dates for 2026 and 2027 across Seattle, Houston, Philadelphia and Boston, plus AMC cinemas screening Epic Games' Rocket League World Championship Finals live on 20 September, with a $1.2 million prize pool at stake.
