The theory matters because most publishers appear to be avoiding GTA 6’s launch window, while Nintendo could target a different audience and faces no direct platform overlap with Rockstar’s game.

The speculation follows Nintendo listing Sword Kirby and Dragoon, plus Noir Dedede and Hydra amiibo, for release on 11 November. Fans note that Nintendo has repeatedly launched amiibo on the same day as unrelated games, citing three examples from 2026; however, Nintendo has not confirmed an Ocarina of Time date. Its announced Switch 2 releases include Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on 17 September, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on 22 October and Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on 3 December.
