The Lord of the Rings Officially Unveils a Very Different Version of Aragorn

Asmus Collectibles has revealed a cartoon-style, four-inch Aragorn figure, giving the familiar character a markedly different look from Viggo Mortensen’s live-action portrayal. The design keeps Aragorn’s shaggy hair, stubble and ranger clothes, but gives him an oversized head and eyes; it is part of the company’s first Lord of the Rings QBitz set.

The set contains five figures: Aragorn, Arwen, Gimli, Lurtz and a Nazgûl. Each comes with a display base and roughly two to four points of articulation, while Lurtz also has movable eyeballs. The set is listed for preorder at $120, with a non-refundable $20 deposit and a limit of three per customer; no shipping date is provided.
