‘The Rookie’ Season 9 Confirms a Major Return for Lucy Chen

Dylan Conrique will return as Tamara Collins in Season 9 of *The Rookie*, renewing a character who has become an important ally to Lucy Chen. Her return matters because she has been absent since Season 7, and the show has yet to reveal what brings her back.

ABC is due to release Season 9 on 6 January 2027, one year after Season 8 premiered. Tamara first appeared in Season 3 and has since built a close connection with Lucy, played by Melissa O’Neil; Conrique’s role in the upcoming season remains under wraps.
