Trophy lists for the forthcoming PlayStation re-releases of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 have appeared online, a development that usually precedes a game's launch by only a few days. The lists suggest that several fondly-remembered modes and features from the original titles may not carry over to the PS4 and PS5 versions, which matters to long-standing fans hoping for a faithful return of the classic games.

According to leaker ForwardLeaks, Black Ops 1 appears to be missing Wager Matches — a playlist including side modes such as Gun Game and One in the Chamber, entered by staking Call of Duty Points — as well as Theater Mode, which let players record, edit and share match replays. Black Ops 2 looks set to lose only the competitive League Play playlist, a comparatively minor omission. The absences are inferred from missing Trophies such as 'In The Money', 'Date Night' and 'Big Leagues', and have prompted concern over other features like the Emblem Editor. A larger unanswered question is whether the titles will offer native PS5 support; Activision has described them as ports rather than remasters. Amusingly, the same leaker notes someone has already earned the Platinum Trophy on both games via illegal console modding.
