Swedish rock band Thundermother have announced that their seventh studio album, "Mothers Of Thunder", will be released in February 2027, with the lead single "Bimbo Boost" arriving in September 2026. The news was revealed by guitarist Filippa Nässil and vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg in an interview at this month's Wacken Open Air festival in Germany, continuing the momentum of a band that has rebuilt itself around a new lineup since 2023 and remains a fixture on the European rock and metal touring circuit.

The announcement follows the digital release of the band's first live album, "Live'N'Alive", in April 2026, which was recorded during a European headline tour supporting 2025's "Dirty & Divine", an album that reached number two on Germany's official rock/metal chart. The current line-up, formed after a 2023 split that saw three former members depart to start the band The Gems, comprises founder Nässil on guitar, Vikström Egg on lead vocals and guitar, returning bassist Majsan Lindberg and drummer Joan Massing.

  • Thundermother's new album "Mothers Of Thunder" is due February 2027.
  • First single "Bimbo Boost" arrives in September 2026.
  • Follows 2025's chart-charting album "Dirty & Divine" and a live LP.
