TIS Studios Expands Bogotá Production Hub With New 18,300-Square-Foot Soundstage (EXCLUSIVE)
TIS Studios, a long-established Colombian-Mexican company operating across original content, production services, postproduction and international distribution, has opened Stage 7, a new 18,300-square-foot soundstage at its Bogotá production complex. Standing 40 feet high and described as Colombia's largest soundstage and one of the biggest in Latin America, the facility increases the company's capacity to host large-scale international film and television productions. President Samuel Duque said the stage, combined with Colombia's production incentives, gives producers and studios worldwide a further reason to bring ambitious projects to the country.
The new stage joins seven other stages on the Bogotá lot, which includes a dedicated casting studio, standing sets such as a prison, restaurant and furnished house interior, and a three-level backlot with interchangeable façades. Fully soundproofed and fitted with a technical grid and climate control for scripted and unscripted shoots, the site also offers cloud-based editing, colour correction, visual effects and Dolby Atmos-certified sound mixing that qualify under Colombia's national production incentive. TIS Studios, headquartered in Bogotá with offices in Mexico City and Miami, serves more than 16 countries and has worked with platforms including Netflix, Amazon, Disney and Telemundo; its current slate includes new seasons of Telemundo's "Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso" and Netflix's "Medusa".
