Titus Welliver on What Sets His New Crime Character Apart From Harry Bosch
Titus Welliver, best known for playing Harry Bosch across more than a decade of the Bosch franchise, is taking on a markedly different role in the new series The Westies. Speaking to ScreenRant, Welliver explained how his character, Glenn Keenan, contrasts with the morally driven Bosch, offering audiences a chance to see him portray a very different kind of screen detective.
Keenan is a corrupt, emotionally withdrawn New York detective working in 1980s Hell's Kitchen, a far cry from Bosch's relentless pursuit of justice. Welliver described Keenan as once a "righteous cop" and Vietnam war hero whose descent began with the loss of his wife, leaving him detached from life until his son's involvement with crime boss Eamon Sweeney forces him to re-engage. The character only becomes active in the story once his son begins drifting into Sweeney's violent orbit.
