Tony Iommi, the legendary Black Sabbath guitarist, is set to reveal the first details of his long-awaited new solo album this Wednesday, 29 July, via a YouTube livestream. The announcement will end years of anticipation over the project, which Iommi has discussed intermittently in interviews since at least 2024, and marks his most substantial new musical output since the one-off tracks accompanying his fragrance collaborations with perfumer Sergio Momo.

The livestream is scheduled for 7:30am PDT / 10:30am EDT / 3:30pm BST, alongside a short teaser for an accompanying music video. Iommi has previously described the album as having started out as an instrumental project before he decided to bring in a singer, and has said he possesses "four or five hundred" unused riffs stored on his phone. Work on the record was paused in 2025 while he prepared for Black Sabbath's "Back To The Beginning" farewell performance, but he has since resumed finishing it with his longtime engineer.
