Apex Legends is set to receive a time-limited crossover event with CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk universe, tying into the broader surge of interest around Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2. The collaboration brings a range of themed cosmetics, a reworked map and new gameplay mechanics inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners, following a similar tie-in already introduced in Wuthering Waves.

The event includes Legend skins recasting characters such as Sparrow as David Martinez, Axle as Lucy and Loba as Panam, alongside Kang Tao- and Arasaka-themed skins for Mirage and Valkyrie via the reward shop. Numerous weapon skins are also featured, including a talkative Skippy skin for the Alternator, while Night City becomes a playable map in a Wildcard E-District takeover. New abilities are added, such as the Sandevistan dash and Blackwall Breach EMP, though repeated use risks turning players into a "cyberpsycho" — reversible with immunoblocker syringes found in matches. The Cyberpunk Collection runs in the Store from 14th July to 18th August, and early reader comments were largely critical, with several unfavourably comparing it to the Wuthering Waves collaboration.
