British crime drama Cooper & Fry has secured a US home, with streamer BritBox acquiring Season 1 for the US and Canada, while Netflix has picked up second-window UK rights. The deal reflects the growing international appetite for British crime procedurals and marks a significant milestone for the series, which has already performed well on its home broadcaster, Channel 5, since launching.

Adapted from Stephen Booth's bestselling detective novels, the series stars Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey) and Mandip Gill (Doctor Who) as detectives Ben Cooper and Diane Fry, solving crimes in the Peak District. A second season has already been commissioned by Channel 5, currently filming for a 2027 release and covering four further Booth novels. The show, produced by Mike Benson's Clapperboard and backed by Studio TF1, has also been sold to broadcasters in Australia, Italy, Ireland, Japan and across Scandinavia and the Benelux region.
