Zelensky says allies gave no warning before Russian missiles hit Kyiv
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine received no early warning from its allies before Russian ballistic missiles struck Kyiv overnight. The attack killed one person and injured two, as strikes on energy infrastructure intensify amid tensions between Kyiv and Washington over how to end the war.
Zelensky said Russia fired 16 ballistic missiles at Kyiv and the surrounding region, damaging a medical facility and another building. He reported that over the past week Russia had used nearly 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs and 66 missiles against Ukraine.
