Ulster need ‘honest conversations’ after winless start

BBC Sport ·

Ulster have made a troubled start to the season, remaining winless after a loss to Edinburgh and successive draws against Glasgow and Munster. Captain Tom Stewart acknowledges the squad needs honest self-reflection to address their underperformance as they prepare for important upcoming fixtures.

After drawing 26-26 with Munster at home on Saturday, Ulster face Challenge Cup opponents Zebre next week before difficult URC matches against South African sides the Bulls and Stormers. Stewart, 25, captaining in place of injured Iain Henderson, admitted his own contributions have fallen short of expectations and committed to reviewing his performance in collisions and decision-making.
