Updated Xbox PC app promises 60% faster loading and easier access to games, but CEO Asha Sharma says there’s “plenty more to do”

Microsoft has released a faster, redesigned Xbox PC app for Xbox Insiders, aiming to make games and social features easier to find and use. CEO Asha Sharma called the changes a meaningful improvement while acknowledging that more work remains.

Microsoft says the app boots 60% faster, some pages load up to 50% faster and in-app windows open up to 65% faster, though results may vary by device and connection. The update also adds simpler navigation, improved filters, game organisation, search, refreshed game cards and light and dark modes; Microsoft is expanding access to its updated cloud gaming experience as well.
