Police search for man after third escape from London care facility
Police in London have issued an urgent appeal to find Balasankar Narayanan, a 46-year-old man previously flagged as a risk to women, after he absconded from a care facility for the third time. He ran off from staff during escorted leave in South Park, east London, last Thursday, and officers are asking the public for help locating him amid concerns for both public safety and his own wellbeing.
Narayanan was last seen at 2pm on 3 September wearing a light green T-shirt, grey and black shorts, black socks with red stripes and grey shoes, and has a shaved head. He has previously absconded in August 2024 and January 2025, and has links to east, central and west London, as well as Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate, Ilford and the West Midlands; he has also previously been traced to Essex and Manchester. The Metropolitan Police have urged anyone who sees him to call 999 immediately, quoting reference CAD 4956/3Sep.
