The United States' World Cup campaign ended in a 4-1 loss to Belgium in Seattle, with the host nation eliminated from the tournament. Despite Donald Trump's extraordinary attempt to overturn a red card ban during the match, the hosts were unable to mount a comeback against the Belgian team. The fixture drew significant media attention and prominent spectators.
Belgium's victory prompted celebrations that included mockery of Trump and the USA, with players referencing the president's dancing during post-match festivities. The defeat marked a disappointing conclusion to the tournament for the American side, which failed to capitalise on Trump's intervention in their favour.
