Vantage Media Takes North American Rights To Pole-Dancing Drama ‘Exotic’ As Trailer Unveiled
Vantage Media has acquired the North American rights to *Exotic*, a Polish drama about a writer who takes up pole dancing and finds the experience leads to self-discovery. The deal was announced ahead of the film’s world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
First-time feature director Sonja Orlewicz-Zakrzewska drew on her own interest in pole dancing, filming during a real Exo Stars Camp with its participants and instructors. The cast includes Jaśmina Polak, Magdalena Koleśnik and Monika Frajczyk; the film received support from the Polish Film Institute’s microbudget scheme. Tallinn’s festival runs from 6 to 22 November, and Polish distribution is being handled by Gutek.
