Verizon plans $10 monthly charge for sharing an iPhone number
Verizon plans to offer Apple’s iPhone Handoff feature on its network, but will charge customers $10 a month. The service lets people use one eSIM number across two compatible iPhones, making it easier to switch which phone handles their calls and messages.
Both phones must run iOS 27 and use the same Apple ID, and only one can use the shared number at a time. Unlocking the phone you want to use switches the active device; calls, messages and Find My move to it, while iCloud backups are synced across both. T-Mobile offers the feature in the US for $5 a month, and Deutsche Telekom offers it in Germany.
