Vino G. Bastian, Pevita Pearce, Faradina Mufti, Indra Jegel Lead ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ Director Lee Hwan-kyung’s Indonesian Father-Son Drama ‘Gasigogi’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Korean director Lee Hwan-kyung is making *Gasigogi*, an Indonesian father-son drama starring Vino G. Bastian, Pevita Pearce, Faradina Mufti and Indra Jegel. Now in production with Falcon Pictures, the film follows a father’s efforts to save his son, who has blood cancer, and marks Lee’s return to directing after the success of the Indonesian *Miracle in Cell No. 7*.
The working title refers to a stickleback fish whose male guards its eggs and ultimately becomes food for its young, a metaphor for parental sacrifice. Lee says the film is an original story shaped by Indonesian family, faith and community, rather than a transfer of Korean sensibilities. He has described it as his most emotionally demanding project and dedicated it to his son.
