VisionQuest trailer reunites Paul Bettany and James Spader

Marvel has released a trailer for “VisionQuest”, an eight-episode Disney+ series starring Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. The show, due to premiere on 14 October, is presented as the conclusion to the “WandaVision” trilogy and follows Vision as he questions his identity, memories and relationship with Wanda Maximoff.
The trailer shows Vision working in human form at a pub before returning to his android identity and a home existing within his mind. It marks Bettany’s first live-action MCU appearance since “WandaVision” and includes returning AI characters J.A.R.V.I.S., E.D.I.T.H. and F.R.I.D.A.Y., alongside Jocasta and an adult Tommy Maximoff.

Vision is a synthetic human, or android, in Marvel’s screen universe. He was created using advanced technology and has been both an Avenger and the partner of Wanda Maximoff, a superhero with reality-altering powers.
WandaVision was a series about Wanda and Vision living in an apparently ordinary suburban life after major losses. It raised questions about what was real, and introduced different versions of Vision with different memories and identities.
Ultron is an artificial intelligence that previously turned against humanity and has a personal link to Vision’s creation. Other AI figures such as J.A.R.V.I.S., E.D.I.T.H. and F.R.I.D.A.Y. are digital assistants connected to the wider Marvel story.
