Other scheduled titles include “Flamingo Flamenco”, “Pirate Mo”, “Unstable”, “Zac Power”, “The Boonie Bears” and “On the Edge”. Steelman: both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
A year-round slate of family animation could give cinemas dependable programming between major studio releases, attract repeat visits and make better use of quieter weekday sessions. Flexible daytime bookings and joint loyalty or marketing schemes may help exhibitors reach families while giving independent films more theatrical exposure.
The case against
Releasing 26 titles in one year could stretch audiences’ attention and cinemas’ capacity, especially if demand is uneven or several films compete for the same family viewers. Exhibitors may be cautious about committing screens and promotional resources to a large slate whose performance is uncertain, and frequent releases could make it harder for individual films to stand out.
