Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has been granted a special exemption by the Chilean Football Federation to wear his nickname, rather than his legal name, on his shirt at new club Colo Colo. The 40-year-old, whose real name is Josimar Jose Evora Dias, signed a six-month deal with the Liga de Primera side after his performances at the World Cup earned him worldwide recognition, despite league rules normally banning nicknames on playing shirts.

Vozinha became a cult hero after helping Cape Verde secure their first-ever World Cup point against eventual champions Spain and pushing finalists Argentina to extra time in the last 32, later being named in FIFA's team of the tournament. His Instagram following has grown from around 50,000 to nearly 30 million, and Colo Colo, Chile's most successful club with 34 league titles, is a side he has long dreamed of joining after a career spent at smaller clubs in Slovakia, Angola, Moldova, Cyprus and Portugal.
