Wardogs Season 3 brings an urban map, Limited Mode, and a 185,000-account ban wave
Wardogs Season 3 launches on 12 November with a new urban map, a restricted Limited Mode and changes to progression. Developer Bulkhead says the updates aim to restore shared discovery and a sense of achievement in the 100-player tactical shooter.
The season will last three months, and a full wipe is planned; progression will move closer to Season 1’s slower pace after the studio said Season 2 advanced too quickly. Limited Mode will restrict equipment, with current plans including FMJ-only ammunition, a Tier 2 armour cap and fewer attack vehicles. Bulkhead also says it has analysed 187 million hours of gameplay using machine learning and permanently banned 185,000 accounts; a player trust score is planned for 2027.
In short
- Season 3 arrives on 12 November with an urban map.
- Limited Mode caps armour and restricts weapons and vehicles.
- Bulkhead says 185,000 accounts have been permanently banned.
Steelman: both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
The season’s wipe, slower progression and equipment limits could make advancement feel earned again and encourage players to discover the map and tactics together. Bulkhead’s analysis and bans may also help protect fair competition, while a future trust score could improve enforcement if it is accurate and applied consistently.
The case against
A full wipe and slower progression may erase players’ investment and make the game feel like it is taking progress away to address problems that could be tackled more selectively. Equipment limits may reduce tactical choice, and large-scale automated analysis and bans raise concerns about mistakes, transparency and how a future trust score will affect players.
