Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 has been delayed from 17 September to 3 December, publisher Deep Silver and developer King Art Games have announced. The studio says the extra time will be used to incorporate player feedback, fix bugs, improve performance and further polish the real-time strategy game; the new date also avoids an unusually crowded September release schedule.

The game will launch with Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons and Orks, while its post-launch plans have been revised. Major additions including Crusade Mode, a Mission Editor and map packs are now planned for 2027; the Blood Ravens Story Prologue DLC is due in spring and the Aftermath campaign expansion in summer. It is the first Dawn of War title made without Relic Entertainment, with King Art Games taking over after developing Iron Harvest.
