Watch: Ex-TESLA Guitarist TOMMY SKEOCH Joined By JEFF KEITH For ‘Rock Me To The Top’ Performance In Sacramento
TESLA singer Jeff Keith joined BAD MARRIAGE, the band led by former TESLA guitarist Tommy Skeoch, on stage in Sacramento to perform “Rock Me To The Top”. The appearance brought the two musicians together on a song they co-wrote for TESLA’s 1986 debut, after Skeoch left the band in 2006.
The performance took place on 6 November at Swabbies On The River, and fan-filmed footage was posted online. BAD MARRIAGE’s line-up includes Skeoch, guitarist Mike Fitz, singer Jonny Paquin, bassist Todd Boisvert and drummer Michael Delaney; its latest album, “Match Made In Hell”, was released in March. Skeoch has said he was fired from TESLA after repeated substance-use problems, while Keith said the band had tried to support him and agreed to sobriety on tour.

Explained simply
TESLA are an American rock band whose 1986 debut album included “Rock Me To The Top”, co-written by singer Jeff Keith and guitarist Tommy Skeoch. Skeoch played with the band until 2006, when he left after a period marked by substance-use problems.
Skeoch now leads BAD MARRIAGE, a band with its own line-up and recent album. The song links his time in TESLA with his later career, while the musicians’ accounts of his departure offer context for their past working relationship.
