Husted pointed to Brown's 32 years in Washington, arguing he has little to show for it, and referenced Brown's handling of issues such as data centre energy costs during his time in office. He framed the race as a rematch of sorts, suggesting voters "sent him packing" once already and would do so again given the chance.
