Three-year-old Noah Woods from Brantham, Suffolk, was found dead in Decoy Pond on Wednesday after going missing on Tuesday. Noah, who was non-verbal, partially deaf and awaiting an autism assessment, had run away from a relative near a playground and vanished down an alleyway towards woodland. The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of community support, with a fundraiser launched by the Good Dads Club raising over £82,000 for the family.

A massive search operation involving approximately 1,300 volunteers, police with specialist diving teams, firefighters, coastguards and search-and-rescue services descended on the village to locate the boy. The pond where he was found was just 250 yards from where he was last seen. His parents, Rhys Woods and Charlie Peck, released a heartfelt tribute describing Noah as "the sweetest and most innocent little boy", expressing their gratitude to the community and emergency services whilst emphasising the financial support will help them grieve without additional strain. Ipswich Town Football Club players, including captain Dara O'Shea, laid flowers in tribute, with left-back Leif Davis donating £2,000 to the fundraiser.
