NetEase has confirmed that Marvel Rivals Season 9, titled The Mystery of Thebes, will launch on 10 July, marking another substantial update for the hero shooter. The season brings two new heroes, a new map, a new game mode, a rework of Black Widow, and an overhaul of the game's Team-Up abilities, making it a significant moment for the game's community.

Although NetEase has not confirmed an exact release time, previous seasons suggest maintenance will begin around 9 a.m. UTC and last two hours, meaning the season should go live at roughly 12 p.m. BST in the UK. New Strategist hero Jubilee arrives at launch, while The Hood joins in Season 9.5. The Thebes convoy map follows on 23 July, and a new Age of Ultron mode on 30 July. Details of Black Widow's rework and the enhanced Team-Up effects remain unannounced.
