Celtic look set to sign Egypt winger Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo, with the 24-year-old reportedly due a medical in Glasgow after the clubs agreed an initial £6m fee, potentially rising to £9m. Born in France and a former French youth international, he switched allegiances to play for Egypt, his father's home country, and has since progressed through Chateauroux, Villarreal, loan spells at Mirandes and Sporting Gijon, and Oviedo, whom he helped win promotion before a difficult top-flight campaign last season in which he managed three assists but no goals in 37 appearances.
