William Shatner has announced a new 15-track spoken-word album, Love & Other Mysteries, made with country musician Brad Paisley. Due for release on 21 August, the project highlights their long-running friendship and follows Shatner’s continued musical activity, including a separate forthcoming metal album.

Paisley produced the record and arranged its music with Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith and gospel pianist Gordon Mote. Its first track, “The Great Mystery”, combines Shatner’s narration with reflective musical arrangements; the album will be released through Loaded Goat Records/UMG, while Shatner’s metal release is planned via Cleopatra Records.
