William Shatner has apparently disclosed that his new heavy metal band, The *uckers, is booked to play Coachella in 2027, although the festival has not announced any acts. The claim is notable because it would mark an unexpected festival appearance by the 95-year-old Star Trek actor, who is expanding into heavy metal with a forthcoming album.

Shatner told CNN the group would play “the one in the desert” next spring, with his daughter Melanie identifying it as Coachella; he later said the band had a 30-minute slot. Coachella is scheduled for 9–11 and 16–18 April 2027 in Indio, California, while The *uckers will debut at Riot Fest in Chicago on 20 September 2026; their line-up includes Marcus Nand, Britt Lightning, Phil Soussan and Fred Aching.
