Wisin Signs Global Distribution Agreement With Sony Music Latin for Upcoming Releases
Wisin has signed a global distribution agreement with Sony Music Latin for his upcoming releases, which will continue to be issued through his own label, La Base Music Group. The deal reunites him with a label he has worked with before and combines his artistic and business direction with Sony’s promotional and distribution reach.
The agreement follows the September release of *Universidad del Perreo*, a 12-track album celebrating reggaetón’s Puerto Rican roots, with guests including Ivy Queen, Jowell & Randy and Kapo. Its accompanying platform has more than 2 million registered “students”, and the related world tour is due to begin with two shows in Puerto Rico on 13 and 14 November. Wisin has also recently signed with WME and made a direct management deal with D27 Entertainment.
In short
- Wisin’s upcoming music will be distributed globally by Sony Music Latin.
- Releases will remain under his own label, La Base Music Group.
- His *Universidad del Perreo* platform reports more than 2 million registered students.
