Britain's unified lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois has split from trainer Shane McGuigan and will relocate to America ahead of her next title defence. The 25-year-old, who turned professional with McGuigan in 2021, described the move as amicable, saying there was "no bitterness, no break-up, no clash, no drift" but that it was "the next step" needed to progress her career; she is expected to link up with American coach Manny Robles, though this has not been confirmed.

Dubois will defend her WBC and WBO belts against unbeaten American Amelia Moore on 29 August in Birmingham, as part of an all-female Most Valuable Promotions card at the BP Pulse Live arena. The event, themed UK v USA, will be headlined by Chantelle Cameron's light-middleweight unification bout against Mikaela Mayer, with Terri Harper also featuring against Miranda Reyes. Dubois said she remains on a "quest for greatness" and hopes to pursue further unification fights, including a long-sought bout with Alycia Baumgardner.
