Wyoming Republicans REJECT family values man after Daily Mail’s exposé of his racy social media follows

Daily Mail ·

Wyoming Republican gubernatorial candidate Brent Bien lost his party's primary election after a Daily Mail investigation revealed his campaign's social media accounts had been following sexually suggestive profiles, some appearing to depict young girls and minors. Bien, a retired US Marine Corps colonel who built his campaign around Christian faith and family values, had denied the allegations and claimed the exposé was politically motivated, but screenshots obtained by the Daily Mail contradicted his campaign's denials.

Eric Barlow won the Republican nomination with 44.8 per cent of the vote, ahead of Trump-endorsed candidate Megan Degenfelder on 29.7 per cent, while Bien trailed in third with 23.8 per cent, based on results with 74 per cent of ballots counted. The investigation had found Bien's campaign accounts following profiles including one showing a teenager in provocative content around her apparent 16th birthday, and another featuring young girls. Bien said he had reported his account as hacked to police and filed a complaint with Meta, though some local Republican officials, including Park County GOP figures, continued to back him and dismissed the evidence even after being shown unblurred screenshots.
