X has expanded its "Under the Hood" transparency feature to show users when their posts' visibility has been reduced in compliance with local laws. This addition aims to address long-standing accusations of shadowbanning by revealing which countries have requested content restrictions and which specific posts drew scrutiny.

To access the feature, users must have an active account for at least one year and have posted at least ten times in the previous month. The feature was initially rolled out in limited testing in August and now joins other transparency tools in Under the Hood, including algorithmic information about the For You feed and post labels, though the information is presented as a dense JSON file.
