Collider has released the first trailer for Flint, a new Western starring Josh Holloway and based on Louis L’Amour’s novel of the same name. The film marks Holloway’s return to Montana after Yellowstone and is significant as the first L’Amour adaptation in decades, aiming to update the traditional ‘horse opera’ for contemporary audiences.

Written and directed by Ryan Whitaker, Flint will premiere at Nashville’s Regal Green Hills on 25 September alongside the Nashville Film Festival. Holloway plays the title character and said the project fulfils a nearly 20-year ambition; Whitaker, Holloway, Charles Esten and producers including Beau L’Amour are expected to attend the festival screening.
