You Can Try World of Warcraft: Forever for Free, but There’s a Catch
Blizzard is running a free, limited-time stress test for World of Warcraft: Forever from 22 October, allowing anyone with a World of Warcraft account to try it without an active subscription or special edition purchase. The test is intended to prepare the game’s servers for launch, but crowded starting areas and queues may make questing difficult.
Players will start from scratch, so the event is mainly a preview and a way for Blizzard to identify server stability issues. Regular beta servers will be offline during the test and are due to return afterwards, with beta access continuing until Friday. World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled to launch on 4 November; joining the test requires a World of Warcraft account and the Battle.net launcher.
In short
- WoW: Forever’s stress test is free on 22 October.
- Expect queues and competition for enemies.
- The game is scheduled to launch on 4 November.
