Explained simply
The Legend of Zelda is Nintendo’s long-running adventure series, usually following hero Link as he explores a fantasy world and faces dangers threatening the kingdom of Hyrule. Ocarina of Time first appeared on the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and helped establish how the series could work in 3D, with exploration, puzzles and combat.
The new version is for Nintendo Switch 2, a newer console, and updates the original with revised visuals and controls. Famitsu is a Japanese video game magazine whose reviews are written by several reviewers; its scores are often reported internationally. Ocarina of Time’s place in the series means changes to its familiar gameplay may matter to both returning players and people encountering it for the first time.
