Middlesex and holders Worcestershire both extended perfect starts to the One-Day Cup after eight group matches were played on Sunday, with Middlesex becoming the only side to win all three of their opening fixtures while Worcestershire remain one of three teams on two wins from two. Middlesex again impressed with a ruthless bowling display, skittling Glamorgan for just 66 before knocking off the runs in 9.1 overs, while Worcestershire needed a nerve-shredding final over to see off Hampshire by four runs.

Naavya Sharma, Toby Roland-Jones and Noah Cornwell shared the wickets as Middlesex bowled out Glamorgan cheaply, with Josh de Caires hitting an unbeaten 45 to seal victory inside three hours. Worcestershire's win over Hampshire went down to the wire, with Andrew Neal's late assault falling agonisingly short as he was dismissed for 48 needing five runs off the last three balls. Elsewhere, Lancashire secured their first win thanks to Keaton Jennings's 135, Gloucestershire beat Kent for their maiden victory of the campaign, Somerset thrashed Warwickshire (who remain winless), Surrey eased past Northamptonshire, and Yorkshire's Ben Coad took a maiden five-wicket haul in a big win over Sussex.
