Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has reportedly become the highest-paid player at his position in NFL history after agreeing a contract extension with the club. The deal, reported by ESPN, reflects Robinson's rapid emergence as one of the league's premier offensive weapons and sets a new benchmark for running back pay in a market that has traditionally undervalued the position.

The three-year extension, agreed on Tuesday, is worth $75 million (£59 million), including $37 million guaranteed at signing and $51 million guaranteed overall.
