BTS member V has said he has experienced significant hearing loss in his right ear for about two and a half years, revealing the issue publicly during a livestream. He is receiving medication and regular hospital treatment, while fellow member Jungkook is managing a shin injury during the group’s current ‘ARIRANG’ world tour; both disclosures underline the physical pressures of touring.

V said hearing in his right ear is roughly 30 compared with 100 in his left, and believes the problem worsened during his South Korean military service. Jungkook said inflammation and possible bone microdamage have sometimes required him to perform seated. BTS have recently played Baltimore dates and will continue across North America before touring Latin America, Asia and Australia, with the final show scheduled for 16 March 2027 in Bulacan, Philippines.
