Samsung is holding another Galaxy Event on August 27
Samsung has announced another Galaxy Event for 27 August, at which it is expected to unveil a new addition to its Galaxy S26 line-up. Although Samsung has not confirmed the exact product name, the device is widely anticipated to be the Galaxy S26 FE, a more affordable "Fan Edition" variant that Samsung typically reveals separately from its main flagship launch. The move matters because it signals Samsung's continued strategy of extending the S-series lifecycle with a budget-friendlier option that still sits above its standard mid-range phones.
Samsung says the new S26 device will carry over core experiences from the flagship range, including its camera system, AI features and the latest version of One UI. Leaks suggest the S26 FE will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 2500 chipset, and a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The unveiling will be live-streamed on Samsung's website and YouTube channel on 27 August at 8am Eastern Time.
