Snowglobe Co-Founder Eva Jakobsen Joins Nordisk Film
Eva Jakobsen, co-founder of Copenhagen-based indie production company Snowglobe, has joined Nordisk Film Production. The move marks a significant shift for Jakobsen, who has spent recent years working independently, most recently through her own outfit Mater Pictures, and brings her director-driven filmmaking approach into one of Scandinavia's largest and most established film companies.
Jakobsen co-founded Snowglobe in 2015 and has producer credits including Joachim Trier's The Worst Person in the World, Ralitza Petrova's Godless, and Lust (2026), with her latest project being the Berlinale title Beginnings, directed by Jeanette Nordahl. At Nordisk Film she will lead a slate of new projects with directors including Nordahl, Birgitte Stærmose and Pernille Fischer Christensen, according to Nordisk Film Production CEO Katrine Vogelsang. The move follows recent Nordisk Film titles such as Kraken, To New Beginnings and The Girl with the Needle.
