Deadline Launches L.A. Law Legal Summit To Tackle Key Hollywood Issues, Honor Patricia Glaser & Nina Shaw
Deadline is launching its inaugural L.A. Law Summit on 17 September 2026, a half-day, invite-only event bringing together leading entertainment lawyers, agents, managers, talent and executives to discuss pressing legal issues facing Hollywood. The gathering, to be held at PMC's City of Angels headquarters near Century City, reflects an industry grappling with rapid change across intellectual property, dealmaking and artificial intelligence, and underscores the growing prominence of legal figures in shaping the entertainment business.
The summit will feature four panels covering intellectual property protection in the streaming era, mergers and acquisitions amid industry consolidation, the creator economy, and AI's impact on likenesses, voices and copyright, moderated by Deadline journalists including Dominic Patten, Ted Johnson and Katie Campione. The event will also honour two veteran entertainment lawyers: Patricia Glaser of Glaser Weil, who will receive a Visionary Award and take part in a fireside chat, and Nina Shaw of Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein & Lezcano, who will be recognised for her influential career representing major industry figures. Further details, including RSVP information, are expected to be released in the coming days.
