Toronto-based production company Ron & Aussie Productions has signed a three-picture co-production deal with Launch North, the Canadian arm of Los Angeles media company The Launch Company. The agreement builds on the pair's 2025 theatrical release Morningside and gives filmmakers Ron Dias and Joanne Jansen a structured path to develop and produce further projects while accessing Los Angeles-based packaging, funding and market connections without relocating their work abroad.

The first film begins production this autumn in Toronto, with a cast that includes Lovell Adams-Gray, Kiana Madeira, Joanne Jansen and Orville Cummings; Dias will direct all three films, which he and Jansen will co-write. Full details of the remaining two titles are due to be revealed on 11 September 2026 at Big Day Out, an industry event held during the Toronto International Film Festival.
