‘The Echo Chamber’ Starring Alicia Vikander Seals International Distribution Deals Ahead of Venice Premiere (EXCLUSIVE)
Paradise City Sales has secured a wave of international distribution deals for "The Echo Chamber," Andrea Pallaoro's drama starring Alicia Vikander, Luca Marinelli and Susan Sarandon, ahead of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The film's early sales success signals strong industry confidence in the project, which is notable partly for its origins: it is based on a story and screenplay by the late Bernardo Bertolucci, later developed further by Pallaoro alongside Ilaria Bernardini and Ludovica Rampoldi.
Deals have been closed for Spain, Australia and New Zealand, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, the former Yugoslav states, Bulgaria and Taiwan, with further territories still under negotiation. Italy and the Benelux region already have distributors lined up separately, while Paradise City Sales and UTA Independent Film Group are jointly handling North American sales. The drama, centred on a couple whose relationship cycles between intimacy and control, also features original musical performances from its three stars alongside licensed tracks by artists including Nick Cave, Nina Simone and Imagine Dragons; it was produced by Indigo Film, Rai Cinema and Belgium's Versus Production.
