Julión Álvarez has released Ranchero de Corazón, a four-song EP dedicated to mariachi music and marking a new direction beyond the norteño and banda styles associated with his career. The project is personally significant to the regional Mexican star, who says mariachi is sacred to him and that his family connections to Guadalajara, regarded as the home of mariachi, have deepened its meaning.

Produced by Álvarez, the EP includes songs by long-time collaborator Alfonso de la Cruz Pecas, as well as Hansen Flores and César Estrada Moreno. Its release follows major career achievements, including becoming the first Latin artist to sell out three consecutive concerts at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in 2025, while Álvarez is also preparing to perform to more than 48,000 people nightly at Guadalajara’s Estadio Jalisco.
