Lego and Toei Animation have announced a new partnership with the launch of the first-ever Dragon Ball Lego set, marking an expansion of the beloved anime franchise into the construction toy market. This collaboration signals the beginning of a broader commitment, with additional Dragon Ball sets planned for release in 2027 as both companies seek to introduce the franchise to a new generation through building creativity.

The inaugural offering is the Lego Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku set (11390), which comprises 1,764 pieces and stands taller than 12 inches, recreating the iconic moment of Shenron rising from the seven Dragon Balls with Kid Goku riding his Kintoun cloud. Priced at £179.99 and launching this November, the set includes a Kid Goku minifigure and a Dragon Ball diorama. Executives from both Lego and Toei Animation emphasised that this partnership celebrates Dragon Ball's enduring cultural legacy whilst providing fans with a novel creative way to engage with one of anime's most iconic universes.
